Parental Alienation Awareness Organization believes that Parental Alienation and Hostile Aggressive Parenting, in which the bond between a loving parent and a child is ruptured by a third party, either overtly or with subtle behaviors, is a form of emotional and mental child abuse. These alienating behaviors can effect a child's self esteem, emotional stability, and future relationships. We believe that it is in the best interest of children to be permitted to love and be loved by both parents, whether the parents are divorced, separated, or unwed. Only in that way will children be able to receive all of the love, nurturing, and guidance they deserve.
As such, we have created a petition to be submitted to governing bodies, as well as to judicial systems. Please sign if you agree with the below:
I, the undersigned, along with Parental Alienation Awareness Organization and their national and international counterparts, believe that Parental Alienation and Hostile Aggressive Parenting should be recognized as a form of emotional and mental child abuse.
